By analysing the demands and movement patterns of your sport it is possible to design an effective and functional (purposeful)training programme to enhance specific fitness for your sport. Most sports are based on either speed and power or endurance. So it is important that if your sport demands speed that you train for speed and not for endurance and vice versa. Functional training for your sport will also minimise your injury risk when you are in a competitive situation.
